I love this image as... it freezes the happy couple in an embrace in the middle of the dance floor with everyone else around them dancing. ​

Im not normally one for competitions but I guess the exposure is good for me so I have decided to enter a few wedding photography competitions. It seems that every wedding photographer these days is an 'Award Wining Photographer' even if that constitutes the local village I'm going to try and only enter competitions where the photography is judged by other professional photographers. There are too many competitions that are a marketing ploy by wedding websites whereby they ask the public to vote by the power of Facebook etc. Pictures are not judged on merit only how many of the photographers friends, family etc are on Facebook thus getting the wedding website huge traffic numbers and the photographer so called 'awards'. Out of thousands and thousands of entires the image above has made it to the final 12, quite a good start I thought !
